Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TaleWhisperer. They are written to be read, not skimmed past. By creating an account, you agree to them.

The service

TaleWhisperer is an AI-assisted writing tool for novelists. The AI assists; you decide. It offers continuity checking, critique, story reference tools, and a storefront for publishing your finished work.

Your words are yours

You retain all rights to what you write, and to any AI-assisted output you accept into your manuscript. We claim no ownership of your work. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, display, and process it so the service can function — and, if you publish to the bookstore, to display your book as you have configured it.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. New accounts include a 7-day free trial. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. We may change prices with advance notice — changes never apply mid-billing-period.

Acceptable use

Don’t use TaleWhisperer to create or distribute unlawful content, infringe others’ rights, abuse or attempt to circumvent limits on the AI features, or scrape or bulk-extract content from the service or its bookstore.

Publishing to the bookstore

When you publish a book, you warrant that you hold the rights to it. We may remove published content that violates these terms or the law. Removing a listing does not touch your manuscript — that remains yours, in your account.

AI features

AI output is assistive. It may be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable. You review and decide what enters your manuscript; we make no guarantee that AI suggestions are accurate or fit for any particular purpose.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

TaleWhisperer is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Termination

You can stop using TaleWhisperer at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; where reasonable, we will give you a chance to export your work first.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept them.
